If Truman Capote were alive
Gentle reader:
We attended the 2nd and 3rd district conventions
this weekend. Other than Brian Hobbs getting elected as a delegate to the RNC Convention, Kreeper Krems serving as the parliamentarian, and Patriot Roberts becoming an elector (really, CD3?), the district conventions were pretty lame. CD2 was done far too quickly. Boring! But that wasn't the news of the weekend.

You know when you are about to go through
construction (think I-44/US75 or I-244 in Tulsa) the construction bottlenecks and slows down. What do Okies do?

Left Turn Lights, and Various & Sundry
Gentle readers:
Did you know that…
it is possible to determine if a driver in Oklahoma took driver's ed here or in another state?

Trans day of Visibility and Murder in Cimmaron County
Gentle reader:
On Saturday, the White House gave conservatives a big middle finger of a gift when they declared Easter Sunday to be "Trans Day of Visibility."

Action Figure Charity Linch
Gentle reader:
Did you watch college basketball this weekend? We did. Apparently, the thing in college basketball is to shoot three-pointers (and LOTS of them) from as far back as you can independent of whether any of them go in.

Guest Note by Ron Black
Gentle reader:
Following our last email,
Ron Black asked if we would publish a personal note to you. Well, of course! So, without edit, please find Ron's thoughts:

Tik-Tok
Quickly: for those of you that think that China, who doesn't give their own people constitutional rights, and limits time and content on the app in their own country deserve a first amendment right to OWN an app that our state and federal governments won't even allow on government-owned devices, you have a serious problem.

Starring Ryan Walters as Anne Gorsuch
Gentle reader,
Have you ever heard of Anne Gorsuch? We have no doubt that you’ve heard of her son, Neil Gorsuch. Other than his decisions in Bostock and McGirt, he’s been a great Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Party of Reagan and Toe Sucking
Gentle reader:
Perhaps it was time or perhaps it had just been too long for many to really remember, but the party of Reagan was officially put to rest last evening.

If you are looking for free scriptural prayer sheets, we recommend checking out the ones that Karen Hardin has linked on her web site at KarinHardin.com. The Warrior highly recommends!

From Russia with Love
Gentle reader:
Fresh off of a meeting in Coweta with a national PR firm, we are energized that so many of you have embraced our blunt, no-frills coverage that calls out the BS from our own side. Demand for our emails increases nonstop, and we appreciate the feedback and support. Shall we jump in? We don't know where to start this morning!

A New Conspiracy for You
Gentle Reader:
Let's start out talking about something predictable. It was always going to end this way, wasn't it?

A Man Without a Country
Gentle Reader,
It has come to our attention that a website has been created as a library of our content at www.oksmokesignals.com. We did not authorize this, nor do we know who set it up. That said, we don't oppose it. We'll refer to it as a tribute page. You should let people comment on it, we might even join in from time to time. Shall we get started?

Unintended Consequences
We had not written in a while and many of you checked in on us. We also told many of you that we didn't plan to write as regularly this year. But here we are, writing a second piece this week. You go when the news tells you to go, I guess.

Populism Masked as Conservatism
Some of you have emailed to check in since we haven't written in a while. We are here. Without going into detail, our lineup has changed a little. We doubt you'll notice a difference. Shall we get on with it?
